What good memories it brings. I remember as a child getting up at 3:00 am or at least it felt that way. We got bundled up in warm clothes and went to Dawn Patrol and man what a beautiful site it was and what fun. I wish I was still young enough to experience the wonderful Reno Balloon Race, but I still can as an adult as long as we are staying safe (6 feet and masks please). Anyway it starts on September 10 all the way through the 12. I hope everyone enjoys it. By the way I just learned it is the world's largest Balloon festival. Have fun!StrHwkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15339844055403617060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8683499998581067414.post-83618252845241405802021-09-07T10:09:00.001-07:002021-09-07T10:09:15.514-07:00Hiking in RenoFirst thing you think of when you think of hiking is "wow that sounds exciting" and you would be right. At the same time you hafta be in somewhat good health if you want to go somewhere like Hunter Creek or Upper Thomas Creek Trail here in Reno, NV. When you decide to go you will immensely enjoy yourself. I have a couple links so you can check it out before you decide to go. Have fun and be safe.
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://travelnevada.com/hiking/hunter-creek-trail/amp/&ved=2ahUKEwiK4vWxq-3yAhWN7Z4KHTYgDYoQFnoECFIQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2LUGwi45l-_Qc5EffJ6BVU&cf=1

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.newtoreno.com/thomas-whites-creek-dry-pond-trail.htm&ved=2ahUKEwiNwbz_q-3yAhWQjp4KHemHCYsQFnoECCEQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0BQ4Fm43FZuEjWz9iT8pbX

StrHwkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15339844055403617060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8683499998581067414.post-41477532110301551372021-09-06T11:27:00.001-07:002021-09-06T11:27:35.605-07:00Nevada historical marker number 265 governor Emmet Derby Boylehttp://shpo.nv.gov/nevadas-historical-markers/historical-markers/governor-emmet-derby-boyle
Nevada historical marker number 265
StrHwkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15339844055403617060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8683499998581067414.post-1078001003949842242021-09-04T16:21:00.001-07:002021-09-15T01:02:15.218-07:00Reno Area Highway Conditions"Reno Area Highway and Road Conditions - I80, 395
Highway conditions
This is the current traffic conditions around the Washoe Valley, Reno, Sparks Area. The one I like the most is the Truckee River path, especially all the way out to Verdi. It is peaceful and enjoyable. Plus there are multiple places you can stop. The place I like the most is at the end of the path, Crystal Peak park. It's a little place you can setup your fishing pole in multiple places. There are two small lakes and of course the Truckee River. Hope you enjoyed this little bit of information.StrHwkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15339844055403617060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8683499998581067414.post-1636739752619385272021-09-02T01:04:00.001-07:002021-09-12T18:12:40.355-07:00Fight of the centuryJust a little known historical marker giving details of the fight of the century which happened in Reno.

Fight of the Century
StrHwkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15339844055403617060noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8683499998581067414.post-66148315792880329922021-08-31T11:56:00.011-07:002021-08-31T12:08:04.580-07:00Northern Nevada Backroads
Northern Nevada Backroads is a site about everything Nevada. I would like to make this site about backroads to select destinations, meaning the quickest ways to get around Northern Nevada. At the same time I would also like to add some little known sites. Also festivals in Northern Nevada. It will take a little research but we will get this done.
StrHwkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15339844055403617060noreply@blogger.com0
